Minnesota Compass

Minnesota Compass is a social indicators project that measures progress in our state, its seven regions, 87 counties and larger cities. Compass tracks trends in topic areas such as education, economy and workforce, health, housing, public safety, and a host of others. It inspires people to take action to improve our economic vitality and quality of life. 

Compass gives everyone in our state – policymakers, business and community leaders, and concerned individuals who live and work here – a common foundation to identify, understand, and act on community issues that affect our communities. Click here.

Common Good Forecaster

United Way World Wide and the American Human Development Project have created a tool to forecast how things might change in our communities if educational outcomes were better. Click here.
