
HARVEST FOR THE HUNGRYThe purpose of Harvest for the Hungry is to increase the amount of fresh produce available to those in need.
Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf, Cumulus Broadcasting and KWWK 96.5, and United Way of Olmsted County.
Individuals and families who receive food and meals through any of the 47 Olmsted County nonprofits in Channel One’s distribution network will receive fresh produce.
Fresh produce may be dropped off at Channel One Food Bank and Food Shelf from May 1 through November 30.
Donations of fresh produce that travel well, good keepers, and not overly ripe are accepted.
Please do not wash produce before donating!
Most vegetables and fruit are accepted except greens. Some examples of fresh produce are: beets, carrots, cucumbers, green beans, onions, peppers, potatoes, radishes, rhubarb, winter squash, summer squash, zucchini (8” or less), and tomatoes.
Individuals and groups collect fresh produce from the list above and deliver to Channel One during the following days and times:

Mondays – Thursday between 6:30 am and 3:30 pm
Fridays between 6:30 am and 2:30 pm
Enter through the blue door marked “donations”
Complete the donor report form with your name, address, and the pounds of produce you are donating. The scale is to the right of the donor door.
Place your donation carefully in the green or orange bins that are provided.
Cash donations are accepted at Channel One, Inc. designated to the Community Harvest for the Hungry fund. Please go to the following web site to make a monetary donation: http://www.channel-one.org/donate/funds.php and include Community Harvest for the Hungry in the “Special Instructions” section.
