United Way of Olmsted County Surpasses $1M Milestone in Annual Giving Campaign, with More Help Needed

Help us reach our goal!

Rochester, MN— For nearly 100 years, United Way of Olmsted County has been responding to the needs of communities in Olmsted County. Our work is fueled by our donors, backed by our advocates, and driven by our volunteers and partners. Together we can reach our potential, and we invited you to donate today at www.uwolmsted.org/donate

United Way of Olmsted County takes community-building seriously, with a hyper-local focus that seeks to improve education, financial stability, and health. We help people invest in local solutions, bringing people together — through charitable giving, volunteerism, and advocacy — to make life better for each of our neighbors. And each year, the Olmsted County community unites to help people reach their full potential by raising millions of dollars through the United Way of Olmsted County annual giving campaign.

We are currently at 32% of our goal to raise at least $3,150,000 to help individuals and families in our community reach their potential. We need everyone involved to reach our goal. Powered by community donations, just last year, United Way and our partners directly impacted over 48,000 lives in Olmsted County.

Today, donors, advocates, and volunteers can help secure the future of our community by joining United Way of Olmsted County. Every dollar donated to United Way of Olmsted County goes towards our community's long-term success by ensuring children have the support they need to succeed in school, and that local families have access to the tools they need to thrive.

United Way of Olmsted County cannot do this alone, and we hope you will join our fight for the health, education, and financial stability of everyone in Olmsted County.

In partnership with Rochester Motor Cars, United Way of Olmsted County is pleased to announce the return of the 2022 Give United Drawing. Donors who give to United Way of Olmsted County before December 31 have the chance to win a two-year lease on a new vehicle. “We are honored to partner with United Way’s efforts to drive contributions in support of those in need in our community. With one of our core values being ‘the value of being a good community citizen,’ we believe it is imperative to support those making the most significant impact,” says Mike Enke, Executive Manager at Rochester Motor Cars.

There are multiple ways to give, and employees at over 100 workplaces around the community will have the opportunity to give through payroll deduction. If your employer is not offering a United Way workplace giving campaign, you can still give online at www.uwolmsted.org/donate. “For nearly 100 years, United Way of Olmsted County has been uniting people and resources to address our community’s most pressing challenges,” says President Jerome Ferson. “We are fighting to ensure that Olmsted County is a place where all people can reach their full potential, but we cannot do it alone. We invite each person in our community to get involved by giving as they are able during our annual campaign.”

Community members can make a gift today by visiting www.uwolmsted.org/donate or texting UWGive to 41444.

About United Way of Olmsted County

United Way of Olmsted County is a social change organization that fights for the education, health, and financial stability of every person in our community.

We do this in a variety of ways. We operate programs and provide shared resources that support the community, such as our 211 information and referral service or our Get Connected volunteer matching portal. We work collaboratively with partners from many organizations and walks of life to create system change and solutions that elevate our community more than any single program or organization could. We provide financial, technical, and volunteer support for programs that make a difference.

At United Way, we LIVE UNITED with the change-makers, risk-takers, and problem-solvers as we seek, find, and create lasting solutions to the challenges that face our community.
